Affinity apps integrate stock-image provider, Unsplash

As part of the 1.7 updates we welcome Unsplash to our list of integrated stock-image providers.

Users of Affinity Photo and Affinity Publisher can now access over 1 million free to use images from Unsplash to use in their work, directly from the Stock Panel in the apps.

Fuelled by a community of talented photographers who generously gift their own high-resolution photos for creators to use, Unsplash images are both royalty and copyright free.

Under Unsplash’s license, you can copy, modify, download, and distribute any of their images for free, even for commercial purposes, so they are perfect to use for personal projects and client work. Read their FAQ’s to understand their full terms.

You are not required to ask permission or credit the photographer, but Unsplash do recommend crediting where possible. Tips for crediting Unsplash photographers can be found on the Unsplash website.

Possible uses for Unsplash photography

  1. Photo compositions which require many different image elements—Unsplash have over 1 million to choose from!
  2. When working on personal projects and mock-ups, stock imagery is perfect for experimenting and trying out new ideas.
  3. For client work—high-quality, royalty free imagery is a game changer when you are short on assets and are restricted by a tight budget.
