Affinity Designer wins a coveted Microsoft Developer Award

Microsoft has named Affinity ‘Application Creator of the Year’ for Affinity Designer in their annual Microsoft Developer Awards.

You may have seen recently that Affinity Designer was shortlisted in this year’s Microsoft Windows Developer Awards, in the Application Creator of the Year category. Well, guess what—we are thrilled to say that we’ve won!

Tony, our head of development, and Mark, who oversees our Windows applications, went over to Microsoft Build Live in Seattle, WA, where the Microsoft Developer awards were announced to pick up our award.

This award has been voted for by Windows users, so we are blown away once again by the support of the Affinity community. Also, a big thank you goes to Microsoft too for the recognition, it really means a lot.


Application Creator of the Year

To qualify for this award, the finalists needed to:

  • Be published in the Microsoft Store
  • Leverage SDK 15063 or later
  • Creatively leverage Windows 10 capabilities like Ink, Dial, Microsoft Graph, MyPeople, Live Tiles/Notifications, etc.
