Welcome to Affinity Spotlight

Hello, world.

Welcome to Affinity Spotlight. The new content eco-system for creatives from the team behind Affinity software. A place for creative inspiration, learning resources and Affinity news.

This week, we have profiles of some exciting creatives in our Inspiration section. We talk to whacky illustrator Gagatka, and the incognito wirrow. 3D artists Jonathan Ball and Dimitrios Sakkas tell us about their digital worlds. And, for photography lovers, we profile fashion photographer Peter Collie and fine artist Simone Betz.

Get behind-the-scenes in our article about how we created the Affinity Spotlight platform. Paolo Limoncelli lifts the curtain on his multi-disciplinary practice, and we visit the studio of design agency Greatmade.

In our Learning section, James kicks off his ‘shooting series’ and explains what a RAW file actually is. For vector fans, Andy walks us through creating characters with Frankentoon. And, he has got you covered with the latest Affinity keyboard cheat sheets. Plus, you can find out all you ever wanted to know about blend modes in our article ‘Blend modes explained’.

We also revisit some of our favourite content from the past. Read how design agency Bruton Stroube re-imagined the 80’s classic Garbage Pail Kids, or take a look behind-the-scenes of light painter Eric Paré’s ‘Signs of Light’ project.
